Documenting my journey through the mental health system

I filed a supplemental claim for my VA disability rating to be increased from 70%. I was really hoping for the 100%.

I checked my bank app like I always do and there was a pending deposit for 10,000 dollars from VA. This made me think what the fuck…not connecting the dots. Then I checked VA.gov and there it was after I logged in – YOUR DISABILITY RATING IS 100%. Service connected for PTSD and bipolar 1 disorder.

I’m still in a bit of shock. It took since September, when I filed everything with the help of Veterans Guardian – a paid consulting firm owned by vets and with a proven track record of getting your rating increased. You only pay if you get your increase. I hired them. They did all the work, all I had to do was sign the forms they sent and send them to VA in a prepaid envelope. And now, six months later, it finally happened.

So, finally some good news.

In other news, the chief of cyber security for VA was fired, compromising all of our sensitive data including health information, bank accounts, and social security numbers. Elon and his dudebros will pillage everything they get their hands on and I am terrified for VA.

What a time to be alive.
