Sometimes it feels like that’s all I am – my bipolar disorder. Sometimes it seems like that’s all there is – symptoms and management and doctors and medication and there’s nothing more to me at all.

Don’t let your Bipolar define you. It’s simply just a name that someone has given it subjectively to make it objective to you. Your body doesn’t recognise the illness because it’s just been given a name. It’s part of who you are, not who you are completely. Accept it and accept your own limitations and live within these limits. You don’t have to be afraid of being unable to do some things that others can do, they can’t do things you can do or have the strength to do everything you do whilst living with bipolar

Radical acceptance has been a big theme in therapy lately. Thanks for saying that

I know what you mean, I’ve been there. Don’t set yourself goals for it or a timeframe etc as this just adds to the pressure on you. You will find eventually that you’re becoming less burdened by the day. It is something that won’t happen overnight but I promise you that it will happen eventually and be worth the wait. Wishing you all the luck in the World and if you need anything or have any questions feel free to ask me and I’ll try and help you out as much as I can 👌
