Everything is moving so fast.
I’ve got wall washers coming because of all the dust from the hardwood restoration. That’s gonna go over real well with my mom, haha…and what does she care? She hates my house.
I’ve got Lowes on the way to pick up my unused and unwanted laminate. I did use some of the nice white trim – that is all complete now, my room is finished besides the new ceiling fan. I should be getting my money back from them in a few days. I’m calling them today because I don’t know what’s going on.
Looking ahead into the next month makes it pretty clear time is running out. I’ve got to ask for some time off from my Sacred Heart job because I need to block out a week mid/late June for moving. It will only take a day to move my big stuff but after that – the re-adaptation and re-acclimation. IOP called it building mastery which just means exerting control over the environment around you. My mother doesn’t like it but she’s learning, painfully, that these things are happening. In just a couple weeks, they take out the wall for the new window which means she’s gotta clear out all the crap from my dining room. There isn’t much there, and I just can’t wait to get my dining room back. The table comes next week. Also in a couple weeks, my coworker can put up my light fixture which will officially complete my room for move-in. As soon as those walls are washed, I can start moving things. Tick tock…shit clock’s tickin.’ (Trailer Park Boys reference).
